Tungsten carbide is a composite material produced through a process known as powder metallurgy. Tungsten carbide powder, typically comprising between 70% to 97% of the total weight, is blended with a binder metal, commonly cobalt or nickel. This mixture is then compacted in a die and sintered in a furnace. The resulting tungsten carbide material, available in various forms such as TC Blank, TC Nib, and TC Bush, offers exceptional durability and versatility.
Hak Wire Diez Technology specializes in TC wire dies, offering energy-efficient and cost-effective solutions for various wire industries. TC wire dies have been a staple in wire drawing applications for years, serving round and shaped wires, rods, tubes, and pipes. They find utility in bunching, stranding, guiding, and enameling applications. With exceptional thermal stability exceeding 2870°C, TC wire dies are widely utilized for ferrous metals and large wire drawing, even under challenging conditions. TC wire die blanks, nibs, and plugs are available in various grades based on strength and hardness requirements, as indicated in our grade selection chart. Our TC wire dies accommodate hole sizes ranging from 0.100 mm to 50 mm, with options for custom sizes up to 75 mm.
Copper wire, aluminum wire, steel wire, carbon steel wire, stainless steel wire, tungsten wire, molybdenum wire, as well as ferrous and non-ferrous metal wire.
